Friend

If you look up the word friend in the dictionary, you would find a picture of my roommate and friend Merle.

She's a listener, entertainer, helper, nuturer, rememberer of birthdays. She's the one who has seen you at your best and at your worst.

I just went on a 4 day trip with Merle and our friend Cory. We flew to San Francisco and drove to Lake Tahoe. We talked and joked and laughed ourselves silly.

Everyone should have a Merle in his/her lives. She's the kind of friend I aspire to be.
